Finding high-quality Exeter airport parking needn’t be an uphill battle. The transport hub now offers comprehensive options for travellers wanting to leave their vehicles on-site or park & ride from an off-site location.
This page explains parking at Exeter Airport in detail, including the parking options, meet-and-greet services, and more. You will discover its long-stay options and how to get to the terminal by car, bus, and train.
Exeter Airport car parking comes in several flavours:
Onsite parking
Park & Ride
Meet & Greet
Onsite EXT Airport Parking is official, secure and close to the terminal. However, it is also the least affordable option, designed for premium customers wanting convenience.
By contrast, the various park & ride schemes operating at the airport are the most cost-effective choice. More competition between service providers and less demand for space away from the airport makes these much more affordable.
Finally, meet & greet services are also available. Here, drivers wait for you at the terminal, collect your car, and take it to the car park. With this option, you don’t have to worry about finding a space or securing your vehicle–valet services do it for you.
How long you can park at Exeter Airport depends on your purpose.
The price for pick-up/drop-off at Car Park P1 next to the terminal for up to 30 minutes is £5.00. After that, pricing works as follows:
30 - 60 minutes: £7.50
1 - 2 hours: £15.00
4 - 12 hours: £20.00
12 - 24 hours: £45.00
Other car parks further from the main terminal building offer lower prices. For example, you can park in Car Park P4 for up to 4 hours for £5.00 if you don’t want to rush.
Long-stay parking works similarly: Car Park P1 is the most expensive (closest to the terminal) followed by Car Park P2, then Car Parks P3 and P3 (offering identical pricing). If you book online, you can often save money.
Parking Exeter Airport operates The Safer Parking Scheme, the national standard for UK car parks. It aims to lower crime by putting measures in place that keep you safe. All the car parks at Exeter Airport have a "Park Mark", a special accolade only offered to those that meet challenging criteria. Research suggests that Park Mark facilities have 80% lower vehicle-related crime than standard locations, keeping vehicles safe while you are away.
Park & ride services usually offer the least expensive car parking at Exeter Airport for reasons already discussed. Here, you park somewhere (usually a couple of miles from the terminal) and then take a 2 to 10-minute bus journey with your bags to check in, doing everything in reverse when you return.
Park & ride sounds stressful, but it is straightforward once you understand how it works. Most service providers offer buses every few minutes, high-security perimeters to protect your vehicle and courtesy updates when needed. Furthermore, transfer buses are clean and efficient, and come with careful drivers.
Some Exeter Airport car park & ride services are on-site at long-stay Car Parks P3 and P4. Companies run shuttles from these to the terminal every few minutes. Others are off-site, located in the rural areas near the transit hub. These have longer bus journeys but may be significantly cheaper.
Exeter FlyParks provides meet & greet parking at Exeter Airport. The company's staff meet you at the terminal and then park your car for you at a secure site. When you return, the driver will return to the terminal with your car eliminating the need for transfers.
Meet & greet parking sounds luxurious (and it is) but it is also cost-effective. Cars pull up just 20 metres from the terminal entrance and are less expensive than most long-stay options. Drivers are fully insured and qualified and compounds are secure with CCTV coverage, guards, and security fencing protecting your vehicle for the duration of your trip.
